A charming house situated in an elevated position across the river Higueron from La Molineta and adjoining the Natural Park, guaranteeing peace, wildlife, fresh air and wonderful views to the coast, the mountains and to Frigiliana. A car is essential to reach this property: access is either from La Molineta or from Nerja along an unmade track (steep in parts). The house is built in the traditional manner using wooden beams, artesanal tiles and local materials. From the spacious terrace on the front of the house a handsome, old front-door leads into the open-plan living / dining / kitchen area, which has a high, beamed ceiling, giving a feeling of space. The interior is most attractive, well-presented and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances – oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room which is open plan with the kitchen has satellite TV, DVD, CD/music player, book, pictures and a log-burning fireplace. The entire house has air-conditioning heating/cooling throughout besides wifi Internet reception. A child’s cot is available upon request. The 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, share a separate shower room and WC. There is a small very pretty pool (unheated) in the terraced garden with sun furniture. The views at all times of day and in all seasons are glorious. There is ample parking and turning space in the forecourt beside the house. Guests are recommended to hire a 4x4 vehicle for ease of access.

It should be noted that La Reserva can be rented together with El Torín (the neighbouring house situated below La Reserva, some 100 metres away down the same track). Together they would provide accommodation for 8 persons.

At only 200 meters distance from the National Park of the Sierra Almijara, and as the houses La Reserva and El Torin are surrounded by olive groves and pine woods bordering on the wild Sierras you may be lucky enough to see squirrels, foxes, rabbits, mountain goats, partridge, eagles, wild boar and other wild creatures from time to time.
