An old cortijo which belonged to the grandparents of the present owners, which has now been converted into a characterful and attractive house which sleeps 5-6 people in 3 bedrooms (two doubles, and one small twin) with 2 bathrooms. The house is situated peacefully in the country some 12 minutes drive from Frigiliana off the country road, down a short surfaced track. The entrance is through a vine-shaded verandah, which has a little fish pond and fountain. The living room is large with sofa and easy chairs, TV, music system and a large open fireplace. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen all open off the living area. Outside the kitchen there is a shaded dining terrace, from which a large lawn leads to the large swimming pool (with easy steps to enter the shallow end) and a traditional built in BBQ area abuts one end of the pool. The property is surrounded by extensive gardens and fruit trees. There is a pine wood alongside the garden which, although it occludes the view to the sea, scents the air and gives much wanted natural shade from the sizzling summer sun. With views towards the mountain El Fuerte, it is but a short walk of an evening to the country restaurant La Venta. An excellent property for children as the pool is very large and there is lots of running space in the garden. The private driveway is gated and there is plenty of parking space.
